Our Story
Wardrobes are incomplete without a leather jacket. A search for a good leather jacket is where Sumis Leather began in the first place when some friends and I had been looking for leather jackets in the market.
We didn’t want to choose between high end fashion or overpriced jewellery. On one end there were luxury brands, which meant spending over a $1000 and on the other end there was fast-fashion which indicated buying a product that would not last for any of the years to come. There didn’t seem to be any other options.
After doing some deep diving research, we found out that the high prices of leather were most due to great supply chain distributors, ratailers that had expensive campaigns for their marketing and wholesalers. This meant only one thing, that only a small portion of the price was paid by consumers that went to the product itself.
This made sure that the problem could be solved and the people who liked to wear leather at lower prices deserved better, so we started Sumis Leather.
The challenge was simple, make high quality leather jackets accessible for people.
By cutting out the things we didn’t need, manufacturing and designing in-house, selling it directly to the customers and making the right in time production we made it possible for all people to get leather jackets of high quality at a much lower price.
We know that amazing feeling of wearing a leather jacket and we ultimately believe everyone has the right to experience that.
